The outcry caused 2K to adopt the inside-outside balance system that we see now, and that is also prevalent in the NBA 2K League. Here is the trouble with the inside outside system: it's just not as fun to play. I'm a simulation guy, but I've found the parameters of categories like Pure Lockdown, Pure Sharpshooter, and Playmaking Shot Creator a little too limiting, and it doesn't give the player options, or enough creativity. While the mode has improved from last year, it can still be a little overwhelming when you begin. For example, you might be looking for the Auction House, and you're wondering how to start bidding on available cards. If that's the case, I'm here to help. It's an unlockable within the game, but it's not a long process. There hasn't been a locker code released for it as of yet, so as of now, you have two options if you're trying to cop the LBJ or Pippen. Start with the updates to the MyLeague mode. By and large, this continues to be a robust franchise experience, but 2K19 now grants you control of just about everything. Choose how teams will value draft picks and various qualities (rebounding, playmaking, etc.) in trades, and watch how the course of the league is altered. Meanwhile, Trade Exceptions make their debut in MyLeague, adding another layer of realism to a loaded mode. Of the three cards that were produced on Saturday night based on performances at All-Star Saturday, the Diamond Diallo was the last one to release. It also appears to be the most popular. There are two ways to get the new Diallo, and the most direct way is through the Auction House. You don't just have to beat them, you also have to break Curry single game record of 13 threes made with one of your players. The difficulty level for the challenge is set to All Star. I'd never played a MyTeam Unlimited game and intentionally tried to drain that many threes with one player, so I figured it might be a little challenging. Creating players is supposed to be fun, and I've always felt the inside outside system curtailed that a bit for the sake of the competitive 2K community, which at this point, only makes up a small portion of the game enormous fanbase. In fact, it's relatively simple. To find out what you need to do to unlock the Auction House, go to the Goals tab from your MyTeam home page. Then hit R2 or RT to move over to your Single Game Goals screen. You can, of course, pull either of them from the 20th Anniversary Packs. One pack currently costs 7,500 virtual currency (VC) or 10,500 NBA 2K19 MT. There are five cards in the pack, and you'll get one player in each. You can buy a 10-pack box for 67,500 VC. There's also a 20-pack box for 135,000 VC. You cannot purchase either of the boxes with MT, unfortunately. MyCareer and MyGM also see tweaks. MyCareer remains a solid MyPlayer mode, and this time, it casts you not as a star in the making but as an undrafted rook who must begin his career in China. The realism has definitely been sapped from the mode in recent years, but if you come for the story, you’ll enjoy yourself.
